You never can tell

Midsummers Eve

Its June 21st and for some reason i always end up Paris for midsummer's eve. And i always forget that Paris celebrates it with music. Crazy, jazzy street music. In fact in the square below my house there are drums playing and before i heard a great 'mustang sally'. Ohh now a woman with a gorgeous voice is singing 'chain of fools'. Lovely.

My mum and I have always wanted to go up to Stratford-upon-Avon and watch a midsummer nights dream. I have no idea if its possible, I've never looked into properly. But cant you just imagine a balmy, warm summer night watching a fanciful, dreamy theater production.

Id have to wear a white long muslin dress, with my hair down and running a-muck in a few fields beforehand as well, just so I'm in the perfectly right mood. I think a few flowers in my hair wouldn't go amiss either.

Paris in June

Paris should in theory be at least a little warmer than it is now, or it was this time last year. I think it was unbearably hot actually this time last year, which makes me kind of jealous of last year because I've only really started to crave warmth all the time since i went to Sydney in December. Where, oh where, is my sun?

I live in a house that i have always lived in since i started coming to Paris 3 years ago and its beautiful, if a little run down but that adds to the charm and anyway we have new radiators now and they kind of work.

I was asked almost immediately by the guy that owns the house, if i have a blog yet? As doesn't
everyone nowadays? But alas no i did not, but I have been meaning to find a reason to write more often. I do love a good project. So, hey here we are, I decided I'm going to write about all the things i love and other things that could have occasion to pop up. Et voila, blog created.
